Walk and Talk Therapy
Embodying life's journey

Walk and talk therapy offers a dynamic alternative to the traditional consulting room, bringing a new dimension to our work together. For many, sitting still in one place can feel too intense, and the simple act of walking side-by-side can help ease the pressure of face-to-face contact.
This service, set within the beautiful Eccup reservoir area, is a powerful way to engage with therapy. As we walk, we invite your body into the process, allowing movement to help regulate emotions and connect mind and body. The ever-changing landscape—the farms, woods, and open water—can become a fertile source of metaphors and imagery, offering new perspectives and enriching the insights that arise.

If you are relatively mobile and enjoy being outdoors, walk and talk therapy can be a liberating and productive way to engage with your therapeutic journey. We can arrange for this to be a regular part of our work, or a one-off standalone session if you are looking for a different experience.

(Note: This service is weather and season dependent. We can discuss suitability and logistics during our initial conversation.)

Single Session
Walk and Talk
Sometimes we come to cross-roads in life where we could benefit from new awareness or the experience of compassionate dialogue about a dilemma or life change. Separate from ongoing therapy I offer you to chance to share a 90 minute walk through the beauty of Eccup Reservoir and surrounding country. I use my therapeutic training and listening skills to offer you a one-off session, a "touch stone". It might lead on to further work or it might be all you need, a "stepping away" from your regular path in order to reflect. The fee is £100 including initial contact email/phone call and preparatory and concluding support material. For many years I worked as a Hospital Chaplain in the NHS and saw people only once but quickly established a rapport with them- it is this skill and experience I will be partly drawing on if we meet for a single session.

Returning client? Sometimes if you've worked with me for a period of time you may want to check back in periodically. This longer more reflective format maybe a perfect opportunity to touch base.
